It's in Goričko, the hilly part of Prekmurje, where the sun rises first. Close to the Austrian-Hungarian-Slovenian
three countries border point, lies an artificial Ledavsko lake, which divides the village Krašči
into two parts. On its left bank, surrounded by fields and meadows, a tourist farm Ferencovi has been there
for generations.
The farm, locally known as the Ferenc's House, has been at that same sunny spot for over two hundred
years, handed down from generation to generation. As a tourist farm it received its first guests in 1991,
but only two years later it already had five refurbished guest rooms for overnight guests.
Demand was high and soon two additional common bedrooms have been set up for additional visitors
and groups.
Guests are likely to be in for some pampering at the farm. There is a nice double tennis field,
a grassy knoll where one can run around or just play with a ball, a wide meadow for children's
games (for organized kindergarten and schoolchildren groups) and a patio with a breathtaking view
of the lake. And there is, of course, also the lake itself, offering fishing,
rowing and peace and quiet in the plenty.
There is no doubt that the best way to experience the natural landscape of Goričko area is
by breathing along with the nature. For this reason, bikes for rent are available at the
farm. This way it is so easy to visit the near-by ancient village Grad with the Goričko
Visitor's Centre and its castle Grad with 365 rooms (6 km). There are also other near-by
destinations to choose from: the three countries border point (11 km), the viewing
tower at the summit of Sotina, the second highest point of Pomurje region (7 km), the
Fuks Graba natural forest trail (4 km) and of course you can take a bath in the local thermal spa.
If you take a blanket with you, there is also the wide sky and the shelter of the forests
where you can enjoy camping-out under the sun, the moon and the stars.
